These web pages are intended to be a study of an ecological succession as a result of a controlled burn on the Cloverdale Ranch on 27 October 2010. The first series of photographs were taken on 4 November 2010. Several return visits will be made at appropriate intervals over the next several years to record the re-growth.
The Cloverdale Ranch was acquired and is maintained by the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST).
A total of 14 photo points were selected to show various environments and intensities of the burn. More than one photograph was taken at some points. In all, 20 photographs were taken.
The following map shows the locations of the photo points. The red lines represent the heading in which the photograph was taken. The length of the line indicates the area encompassed in the images. Short lines represent close ups, long lines, wide angle images. Hover over the text to go to the page for the photo site.
